SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

Yes, it's here once again. That special, magical time when authors unite to dole out just enough temptation to whet the lips of a parched man in the scorching desert sun. At least it feels that way to me as I delve into other story snippets... always desperate for more. Treat yourself to even more temptation at the Six Sentence Sunday Blogspot.

Without further ado, I present this weeks six sentences, again from FIRE AND ICE, my young adult fantasy romance. Thank you for all of your wonderful & witty comments, I love them!


  He leaned in, his mouth hovering agonizingly above mine. My breath caught in my throat and for an unbearable moment, everything fell silent. The wind, the birds… even the pounding in my chest. 
  Lifting up on my toes I stretched, desperate to close the tiny gap between us. The sweet warmth of his breath skimmed my lips. 
  Then he stopped, gently pulling back, "Speak of the devil."
